Plotting Instructions

Request a plot by placing the distance estimates to be plotted in the large box for data. Enter three values on each of 10 lines: D-size, D-flux, and then D-z, for a single galaxy, separated by white space (blanks).

For example, for a galaxy with a D-size value of 99 Mpc, a D-flux value of 102 Mpc, and a D-z value of 100 Mpc, type "99 102 100" onto a single line, and hit return. Do not add any quotation marks, commas, parentheses, or brackets — just type the individual numbers in turn.

Each of the three types of distance estimators will be plotted against the distance to each galaxy's cluster (our gold standard for distances).

Keep track of the order in which you enter the three distances for each galaxy: type the values for D-size first, followed by D-flux, and then finally D-z.

Be careful when entering your data. Do not leave blank lines, or add extra entries to the lines that contain the numbers to be plotted.
