Class Policies

Attend all labs and arrive on time. Expect to use the full two hours to complete a lab. Attendance is mandatory.

Prepare by reading the lab before you come. Reading ahead of time helps you understand the material better and gives you a far better chance of not getting lost.

    Bring the following items:

a copy of the lab for the day
any part of the previous lab you have not yet turned in
      a writing utensil
      extra paper
a calculator (your cell phone isn't really a calculator).

Groups of 3 or 4 students are permitted to work together. Each group may submit one copy of their in-lab work with all members names on the top. Each group member must complete their take home section individually.

Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Any instances of plagiarism will result in a 0 for all parties involved. Plagarism includes copying/reusing materials from the Lab Manual/Wikipedia/any source without attribution.

Labs are due one week from when they were assigned. A lab will receive half credit if it is turned in within one week of the due date. Any lab received after this will be given a 0.

*Policies are subject to change and will be announced in class.

Tips

Check your Units If the question is asking for a distance, your answer should not be in seconds.

Does your answer make sense? Before you press the equals sign in your calculator, think about what you expect the answer to be (should it be a huge number, or do you expect it to be very small).

Make sure you understand how your calculator works Entering 2.6/2*&pi is not the same thing as 2.6/(2*&pi)

Answer every question Giving any answer is better than giving no answer.
