The lab manual treats the solar observations as if this is done as the very last thing. If you wait for everyone to finish up and do the solar observations all at once near the end, you will not finish on time! (Especially for classes with 6-7 groups).
+It is suggested that you have a second person 'standing by' - as soon as the TA teaching finishes up their lecture, the assistant goes outside and sets up the solar scope or sunspotters. Then, the TA sends out groups one at a time to do their observations of sunspots (yes, this lab can be down out of order!). It only takes groups 5-10 mins at most to do this (often times faster). Once that group is done, they can head back in, and the next group should be sent out.
