We used to use the x2go client (found here for verbosity - https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/download:start) - however, after installing Rocky9, this appear to be having issues.

We now use VNC, which requires some set up by root (Zach or Jon).

If you want a virtual desktop, a root user (Zach or Jon) will have to set this up for you.

To do so, we will have to edit /etc/tigervnc/vncserver.users with your user and specific port. And then will have to start a system process as follows:

systemctl start vncserver@:#
systemctl enable vncserver@:#
