1a. The location of the impact that likely caused the extinction of the dinosaurs has been found. Find out where and when this was and answer the following questions:

- What is the estimate for the size of the impacting object?

- What is the evidence that the consequences of the impact were world-wide, that is how do we know the impact affected an area much larger than the immediate area around the impact site?
