I am a fifth year Graduate Student in the Astronomy Department at New Mexico State University, and recieved my Masters of Science in Astronomy from New Mexico State University in 2020. I completed my undergraduate studies at SUNY New Paltz where I graduated with a dual degree in Physics and Astronomy. During my time as an undergrad I presented shows at the John R. Kirk planetarium, and I took observations at the campus observatory for my senior research project. Since arriving at NMSU, I've worked on a variety of research projects with Dr. Tom Harrison, Dr. Kristian Finlator, and Dr. Chris Churchill.
I'm currently working on a project that uses simulations to look at absorption features from the CGM around Milky Way type galaxies. The goal of the analysis is to study the distribution of gas in the CGM around the galaxy by studying absorption properties of ions such as MgII, CIV, and OVI.
