Welcome!

I am a first year grad student in Astronomy at NMSU. For the Fall 2009 I am a teaching assistant for ASTR110 sections M02 and M03. My advisor is Chris Churchill and I am working on combining quasar spectra in whatever free time I have (wait, what is free time?).

About Me

I come from Michigan where I earned my B.S. in Astrophysics at Michigan State University. While there I was involved in Society of Physics Students and took part in a program where I mentored an elementary student in science. Before life got hectic at MSU I was a member of the Concert Band where I played clarinet for two years.

I hope to find new hobbies and activities during my free time during grad school. I am also looking forward to a snow-less and warm winter here in New Mexico.
