38 of these detections appear to be massive LSBs (MHI > 1010Msolar). Prior to this paper only 18 had been discovered.

This is comparable to the MHI of HSB galaxies, and so the MHI/Lb ("gas-to-light" ratio) is quite a bit higher.
The Median LSB MHI/Lb = 2.8 Msolar/Lsolar, while Median HSB MHI/Lb = 0.4 Msolar/Lsolar from a similar survey using HSB galaxies by Giovanelli & Hayes (1993).
