Hydrostatic Equilbrium
Like all others clusters, globulars are formed in Giant Molecular Clouds.
- For a Giant Molecular Cloud to remain bound, the gravitational term must be equal to or greater than the pressure term in the hydrostatic equilibrium equation.- Once the pressure term overwhelms the gravitational term, the cloud begins to dissipate. |
