DENIS J0255-4700
(aka 2MASS J02550357-4700509)
A very cool (1400-1600K) L8V brown dwarf.
L dwarf which has one of the brightest apparent magnitudes in K-band (11.5) known (i.e. relatively close). Possibly an older dwarf which has cooled below fusion temperatures, as there are no indications of lithium present.
