The Oort Cloud

• A sphere of icy/rocky objects which is extremely far: roughly 10,000 - 100,000 AU.

• Never directly observed - only perturbed comets from the Oort cloud are seen.

• After sun, may account for very substantial percentage of solar system mass. (25%? 50%?)
