Welcome!

I completed my PhD in astronomy at New Mexico State University during the summer of 2013. Working with Dr. Jim Murphy, I used Mars Global Surveyor Thermal Emission Spectrometer data and the NASA Ames Mars General Circulation Model to study trace gases in the Martian atmosphere. Please see my research page for more information.

About Me

I grew up in rural Iowa, and received my B.S. in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa in 2007.
I completed my M.S. in Astronomy at New Mexico State University in 2011.
In my moments of free time during grad school I was involved in social dancing, swimming, tumbling, biking, running, soccer, hiking, and ultimate frisbee. I started racing in 5Ks, duathlons and triathlons in May 2009. I coached a youth soccer team in the Las Cruces area for a few years, and continued to referee.
