Ph.D. Opportunities

Prospective students seeking a Master's or Doctoral degree in astronomy with research focused in group interests are advised to contact any of our group members for any questions or other information. Almost all of the group's research projects provide the opportunity for students to receive funding. Below are some particular opportunities for which qualified students are being actively recruited:

• Several graduate students are sought for both the NASA EPSCoR and the NSF PAARE projects, focusing on research in helioseismology and other solar areas.
• Students at NMSU have the opportunity to participate in the Air Force Research Lab's Space Scholars Program on a variety of topics. Michael Kirk was involved in the summer of 2009.
