Purpose:

• to introduce you to the format of the labs
• to go over/review some basic math skills that you will need to call upon over the course of the semester
• to get you into the habit of writing good lab reports and summaries

Reminders for this lab:

• show all of your work
• put units on all of your numerical answers (units give numbers meaning)
• especially in this lab, careful not to skip questions (in this lab they are not all numbered)
• each individual should turn in one lab report (lab packet with all questions answered) before you leave

Please Note!: These are things that you should do for every lab, whether I remind you or not. However, since this is the very first lab and it is a math review, I want to call your attention to these requirements and stress their importance.
