Welcome!
I am a graduate student in the NMSU Astronomy Department. I currently study galaxy formation and evolution using quasar absorption lines and cosmological simulations. I also very much enjoy teaching, most especially in a planetarium setting.
I have many interests outside of astronomy, and I try to stay involved with them as much as time permits. Some of my hobbies include reading, playing and writing piano music, gardening, crochet, and cross-stitching. To stay active I enjoy yoga and running. Activities I haven't done in awhile but am itching to get involved with again are ballroom dancing and archery. Since I don't have enough to do (haha) I also enjoy learning how to do fun new things. I'm currently learning how to knit and how to swim.
