Jodi BerdisGraduate Student NMSUAstronomy
I’m a fourth-year graduate student and a NASA ASTAR (Advanced STEM Training and Research) Fellow under the Harriett G. Jenkins Graduate Fellowship issued through the NASA Education Minority University Research & Education Project (MUREP). I am focusing on near-infrared spectroscopic analysis of the phases of water-ice (crystalline/amorphous) on several icy objects in the Solar System (such as Europa and Pluto) in order to determine the ice’s formation conditions and understand the physical and geomorphological processes influencing their surfaces.
