Public Information and Resources
The Astronomy Department at NMSU is actively engaged in a variety of public
events. These include Open Houses, which are
held at the Tombaugh Observatory on the NMSU campus (click here for a
map showing the location of the observatory.
You can Request a Visit to our department for
your organization or school class, etc.
You can also track the local weather conditions from the
weather station
on top of our building.
The year 2009 was the International Year of Astronomy! Click on the two
