Dr. Jim Pawelczyk (PSU) will give 1-hour in-class lecture on the physiological challenges of long term space travel and long term living/working on sub-1g planets/asteroids 3. Dr. Chris House (PSU) will give 1-hour in-class interview on April 13 from 11:30-12:30 4. Dr. Jim Kasting (PSU) will give 1-hour in-class interview on April 13 from 1:00-2:00 5. Sid Goldstein will give in-class lectures on Feb 23 and Apr 6. 6. Cwc will be out of town on Apr 6, so class will be run by Sid Goldstein. ASSIGNMENTS: given on February 2, 2001 1. Remember that your 4-5 page essays are due in class next Friday, Feb 9. I want a hard copy on 8x11.5 inch paper, typed, using 12 point font and single spacing. I also want an electronic version in plain text format emailed to me. No Word documents via email. DUE: in class Feb 9. 2. Research the NSS (www.nss.org). Each individual come up with 3-4 questions for the Dasch interview. DUE: Email your questions to Group 2 prior to Feb 9 class. Group 2 compile the questions (following format of Group 1) and email them to Cwc and Dasch by Noon on Monday. (I would appreciate viewing them Sunday bight) before you send them to Dasch). 3.
