INFO ON STELLAR DATA The star data files are: fcd_34d241.dat fhr1544.dat fhr3454.dat fltt1020.dat I am giving you four of the so-called 'f' files ('f' denotes flux calibrated). The data you need are in the 1st and 2nd columns. Col l = the wavelength in angstroms. Col 2 = the flux density 1.e16*f_lambda The f_lambda are multiplied by the constant 1.e16. You will want to convert to actual f_lambda by dividing these values by 1.e16 Do not worry about the other columns. INFO ON VEGA DATA The data re in the file: alpha_lyr.dat Col l = the wavelength in angstroms. Col 2 = the flux density f_lambda INFO ON FILTER DATA The Johnson-Cousins filter data files are: filter-Uband.dat filter-Vband.dat filter-Bband.dat filter-Rband.dat filter-Iband.dat The Stromgren filter data files are: filter-stromgren_b.dat filter-stromgren_u.dat filter-stromgren_v.dat filter-stromgren_y.dat for all files Col 1 = wavelength in angstroms Col 2 = transmission at wavelength lambda for these files, the peak transmission in 1.000, which means that the response curves are NOT area normalized to unity! Per the class notes, you must account for that.
