Exam Given: April 04, 2008 : Scores Posted: April 11, 2008

Letter grades are not provided because your letter grade in this class will be determined by the overall distribution of points at the end of the semester. However, you can see where you fall within that distribution at this time. Recall that your lowest midterm exam score of the four will be dropped in the computation of your total points in the class. In my grading system, those students near the class average usually end up with a grade in the low "B" range. The average is 73 and the std dev is 16.5. According to the curve I usually apply, for this exam score distribution, I would roughly assign letter grades as 55.0-69.9 is a "C", 70.0-84.9 is a "B", and 85 and above is an "A". But as I said, those letter grades mean very little at this time. If you are below the break at 50, I would consider this an "F".

YES, WE HAD ANOTHER PERFECT EXAM... THE SECOND ONE I HAVE HAD IN MY CLASSES IN 4 1/2 YEARS AT NMSU AND THE OTHER ONE WAS IN THIS CLASS TOO (not same person)! CONGRATULATIONS AND AWESOME JOB. (BTW, the person who got the last perfect missed only one problem on this exam!) Way to go!
