Useful mail aliases

As of Aug 8th, 2023, please use the new astronomy email distribution groups listed below. The old @astronomy.nmsu.edu email aliases will no longer be in use, and after September will be shut off.

astro-office@nmsu.edu → Goes to Lydia, Riah, Zach, and Jason

astro-issues@nmsu.edu → Goes to Jon and Zach (astronomy sys admins)

astro-all@nmsu.edu → Goes to the entire astronomy department

astro-tenure@nmsu.edu → Goes to all tenure track astronomy faculty.

astro-astfaculty@nmsu.edu → Goes to the astronomy faculty (including non-tenure track)

astro-postdoc@nmsu.edu → All current NMSU Astronomy post-Docs

astro-acad@nmsu.edu → Goes to the astronomy academic personnel (faculty, students, postdocs, etc., but not office staff)

astro-students@nmsu.edu → goes to ALL astronomy graduate students

astro-students##@nmsu.edu → (Where “##” equals the starting year for the class, i.e., astro-students23@nmsu.edu is for the incoming class of 2023) Goes to ONLY graduate students of a particular starting year.

astro-tea@nmsu.edu → Goes to everyone in the department interested in the weekly social Tea Time.

astroph@nmsu.edu → Goes to everyone in the department for the weekly astroph discussion group.

astro-inclusiveastro@nmsu.edu → Goes to everyone in the department interested in the weekly Inclusive Astro discussion group.

astro-undergrads@nmsu.edu → Goes to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the astronomy minor or who have shown interest in astronomy courses.
